Well atleast one thing is settled when it comes to this moving stuff, my grandfather is going to pay for a u-haul.
So I have away to move my shit. Now we need a place to put it.
I am really freaking out now.
I don't like not knowing where I am going to live.
I don't like it one bit.
If I write about having a stroke or something it will because of that.
My 15 page paper is having some problems.
My topic is Women in Comics. The problem is the fact that there aren't many paper resources. I know I can find books on the history of comics, (mainly mainstream) but women are rarely mention ed in these books. So all my info on women comic artists is coming from what I find in old magazines, bios in the back of the graphic novels I read and the internet. Everyone picked something that was really easy to research, I picked something that was really important to me.
In order for me to jump into the world of comics I need to know where the people I have admired been. See how they struggled made it, etc. So yeah 5 more weeks and alot of work to do.
I haven't been too big on Manga recently. I have always thought about how many stereotypes are played in Japaneses animation and after awhile you start to notice it.
Like Mecha (I fucking hate mecha),Big boobed women running around in school girl outfits,journeys that also involved fighting, and other things that get played out easily.
The anime and manga I am currently into are:
Nana
Inuyasha
Angel Sanctuary
champloo samurai
Blood and Blood plus
Happy Mania
Sometimes Ghost in the shell(because alot of the time its boring)
Hot Gimmick.
And of course Cowboy bebop. It will always have my heart. :)
I just been reading lots of American comicbooks.
Blah I am really bored.
Oh I ran into my friend Alem and talked to her for a bit.
She found a place in Rogers park so she is moving up there.
It was nice to run into someone I haven't seen in awhile.
