i don't know your thoughts these days, we're strangers in an empty space

YAY LOOK AT MY LAYOUT. Sigh. I love it. And not to mention the featured band on the layout. Keane is my new current musical obsession. WOOHOO.

Sorry tis been a while. I've been either crazy busy or downright lazy so I haven't posted much of anything, except the fact that I OPENED MY WEBSITE. YAY AGAIN. I love having a domain. I'm thinking of opening up hosting but only to two or three people, so if you're interested and are on my friends list, I shall take you into special consideration because I LOVE YOU. <3

Having a domain is like having a puppy.

It's so... what's the word for it... radspiffy.

Ha. xD

Okay, so I thought I was a prodigy child when my mother told me I learned how to spell McDonald's when I was two and a half but nooo. Some four year old puts me down today because he drove a car in the middle of the night, on his own. Damn. I learned how to drive under two years ago.

And I still failed my permit test once. (Story here)

We have taller buildings, but shorter tempers; wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints; we spend more, but have less; we buy more, but enjoy it less. We have bigger houses and smaller families; more conveniences, but less time; we have more degrees, but less common sense; more knowledge, but less judgement; more experts, but more problems; more medecine, but less wellness.

We spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry too quickly, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too seldom, watch TV too much and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values.

We talk too much, love too seldom and lie too often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life, not life to years.

We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbor.

We conquered outer space, but not inner space; we've done larger things, but not better things; we've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul; we've split the atom, but not our prejudice; we write more, but learn less; plan more, but accomplish less.

We've learned to rush, but not to wait; we have higher incomes, but lower morals; more food, but less appeasement; more acquaintances, but fewer friends; more effort, but less success.

We have more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but have less communication; we've become long on quantity, but short on quality.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion; tall men and short character; steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the times of world peace, but domestic warfare; more leisure and less fun; more kinds of food but less nutrition.

These are the days of two incomes, but more divorce; of fancier houses, but broken homes. These are the days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one-night stands, overweight bodies and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet to kill.

It is a time where there is much in the show window, and nothing in the stockroom.

OMG!!!!!!!!!! Okay, so I am going to do something this Lent. I am. And it's not something dumb like give up chips which is something I don't consume much anyways. And I'm not going to say that I'm giving up nothing but doing more, because I guess it might be better for me if I just try and do both. But anyways, for Lent I am giving up (drumroll please)... buying new CDs, borrowing CDs and downloading music. The only silent moments I have are when I can't hear a thing in between the hours of 1 to 4 am. (The sleeping hours, for you slower people. =P) So yes, reducing the amount of music I listen to (which has been constantly expanding during the last couple of months) may teach me to become accepting of the silence.

No bets on when I'm going to fail, please.

Is this long? I think it's long. EL FIN.

By the way, this is what I learned today:

Single word sentences are called "holophrastic speech."
Giovanelli in Italian is "young man."
