LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT!

so, i was reading the newspaper(i dont know why, thinking back) but there was an article about a man who went to a tampa bay football game and tied an american flag to the handrail in an obvious show of patriotism. when a pigger asked him to take it down, the crowd shouted "bin laden lover!" at the cop. as funny as this is, it wasnt meant to be..and i am amazed at how far down the "with us or against us" logic has trickled into our society. i realize that an american football game wouldnt be the greatest cross section of our society, but there is just as much argument for as against that statement. all aside, is this really how people think anymore? anyone (including fucking cops) that piss someone off, when a flag is involved, gets labelled on the side of "the terrorists". do people really feel this way or is this just a rediculous quote taken out of its intended context?...could there be more to the story to constitute someone calling this cop on the side of islamic extremists? if it is that easy to gain recognition into the Axis of Evil, why dont i have a plaque? infortunately it is bocomming apparent that people really do see the world as black and white between the machine of democracy and the communists or yippies or terrorists or whoever our "enemy" is this week.

also, on a slightly off topic, cutter told me that in registering to vote, one is also signing up for selective service. i have heard here and there that adolescents are being swindled into all sorts of "duties" and "obligations" to the country when registering to vote...i was wondering if anyone knew for sure of any other consequences?
