I believe there is a magic and chemistry between two people that would constitute a soul mate.
I would call what I have with my sweetheart a soulmate relationship. We are romantically involved, but it doesn't always have to be so. There are many levels to he and I and what we have is..difficult to explain..think of all the siblings, best friends, and lovers you have ever had and put them together...it is someting like that. I find that my mind has inserted him into all my old memories, as if he has been with me as long as I can remember and I cannot imagine life going on without him in it somehow. I have never felt that way about anyone before, nor will I ever feel that way about anyone again, not the same way at any rate.
One will be attracted and form relationships with people, but by choice, and not by any other force. Such bonds are temporary to the physical world, and once we pass they cease to exist.
