Reasons I love Joss Whedon and his shows
I love Joss's shows. All of them, many of you lucky people will know this already!
I love that he writes strong women, I always have, I like strong female characters, I want someone to look up to, someone strong and brave, but someone who is very much a woman.
In this he is answering the question he gets asks so often of "Why do you write such strong female characters" (and answers with all different answers) -
But he sums it up with "Because you're still asking that question".
Quite.
Women are strong, emotionally complex, beautiful, brilliant, intelligent, unique, passionate, loving; -
Why would I ever watch a show that did not portray them in that way?
