Nah, onboard sound is cool, as long as you're using Linux and can put a second sound card in, too :) Of course, with only 3 PCI slots, it may be a problem.

Onboard video, now that sucks.

Oh, now I can remember what I was gonna post about :)

Naw, I'm not much of a hardcore audiophile, but I would think that onboard sound especially on a motherboard like that would get a lot of noise in it. I'd like one of those Audigys that has the front-mounted sound panel thingie. Although the onboard optical out eliminates my need for my MPEG-2 decoder. The only thing I could think of with this motherboard that I would need a PCI slot for would be my tv card, and my sound card.

Waaahhhh, tell me how to get that freakin' decoder card to work! I've had it in there for nearly as long as you've been in japan and my cpu power still seems to be used up to play DVDs.
