Tokyo Chixx0rz!!! +_+

Okay here's what happened. I got to Tokyo yesterday evening. I got frickin' hell in customs. Okay, I guess it could've been worse. They didn't strip search me. But the first customs agent was all "wtf" over my big stack of CD-R's. He asked me what was on them and I said "anime and music mostly." Then he went and got his supervisor and his supervisor came and asked me what was on them and I said "anime and music mostly." So they were like "We're gonna take these and check the titles" and we all went to a special room. So the guys started going through all my CD's and being all like ""Ooh Maison Ikkoku," etc etc, while some other guys searched through all my stuff for ecstacy because I guess they thought I looked like a raver or something. Then they asked me about a million times if I had any porn. It seems that's what they were concerned about with the CD's too. They went through all the CD's and asked me if there was any porn on them and I'd tell them no. After about half an hour of this they gave everything back to me and said "next time don't bring this shit like this" and I was like "kthnxbai." (Damn you Xell for sticking that word in my head >_<).

I was picked up at the train station with my relatives of sorts...I'll go more into them later. They live in Chiba-ken just outside Tokyo and have a pretty typical house. Satori's mother practices tea ceremony I believe, so they have a washitsu (traditional Japanese room) that can also be converted into a guest bedroom and it's where I'm sleeping, and it's really nice.

I'm tired and so are my hands so I'll skip ahead a bit to today. And I'll give a shortened version too. Everyone was kinda busy today so I was like "okay, I'll just bura-bura around by myself today." According to my dictionary bura-bura means "a gourd flapping in the wind" but it can also mean "dicking around," "fucking about," "jacking off," etc etc but it can also mean "meander around" which is the meaning I was using +_+ So they drove me to the station and said have fun. Let's just say that I went to places where, when I'm older and hopefully living in Japan I will go every Friday and blow half my paycheck on stuff. I can't believe I made it home with as much leftover money as I did. I easily could have spent my $1500 in traveler's checks and then some. Just the sheer volume of cool stuff is unimaginable. All I ended up buying today was a Rurouni Kenshin pencil board with the cover of one of the later mangas on it, with Kenshin, Tomoe, and Enishi. And it was in the style of the new Seisouhen OVA. And I got both volumes of the Trigun manga, and the first volume of Trigun Maximum. I can't believe that's all....I really did some good holding back. But OMGOMGOMG guess what I found! Maison Ikkoku on DVD! All of it! I didn't know it was on DVD. I mean, of course it's not on DVD in the US, but last I heard it also wasn't out in Japan. But I guess they finally did. It's a totally legitimate commercial release. 23 volumes, 4,800 yen each. So that's like a little less than $1000 for the whole series. I guess that's a collect over time kinda thing. And guys: I went to a *cough*adult*cough* store and found what has to be the coolest anime-related piece of merchandise EVER. Yes, I found a life-sized inflatable Asuka doll!! And it looked really good too!! They didn't just have Asuka either, but if I had my pick I woulda gone for her. They were wicked expensive though.

Sometime while I'm here I have to make it over to Shibuya or something and do some nanpa. I mean, it's totally contrary to my personality...but I look around at these Tokyo girls and just think that if I don't go for it now I'll regret it for the rest of my life +_+ Okay, I'm tired and my hands hurt so I'm gonna go read my Trigun mangas now.

Oh yeah, a few more things:
I got another Love Hina bubble figure and it was another Mutsumi. I know both Diego and Khaos are gonna want it, but you have to call dibs for it. I intend to collect all the Love Hina figures so there'll probably be other repeats.
Mousse: Send me $200 and I can get you a 1/4 scale model of Urd.
I also found a number of copies of the Xenosaga Limited Edition that somehow managed to go unsold, if anyone wants one. They're kinda rare now though, and they're closer to $150 in price as opposed to about $100 like they were before.
