FFX spoilers inbetween the bars

Friday was okay. I don't remember what we did in class except that I had a comparatively good time. Possibly because we didn't have Senile-sensei at all that day which was refreshing. Just Suzuki-sensei and Mikaru-sensei, my two favorites. After school Zero let me use his laptop to finally download some pictures from my camera. Then Zero, Marco, Kentaro, and I played airsoft. Zero just got the new Steyer Aug he had been planning to buy, so he let me use his P90. It was fun at first but since we were playing in a public park we kept having to stop when people came through walking their dogs or something. We need to scope out a better place. It got too cold and the gas in then pistol Marco was using lost its pressure, and then the battery in Ken's FA-MAS ran out, so we called it quits just after Marco and I had a one-on-one with the Steyer Aug vs the P90. He won because the clip on the P90 wasn't wound tightly enough and for a while it wouldn't fire.

After that I went to the 100en to get some snacks for the weekend. Then I stopped by the computer lab and read some FFX FAQs for the first time. I discovered just how much stuff there is to do in FFX and how it was just too much for right this second. I more just wanted to finish the game and see the ending. So I decided that that night I would do it, and then sometime next week print out some FAQs and start a new game that would be like one of those 34098609386 hour games where I get all my characters maxed out, all the secrets, etc etc. The first two times I tried I got killed by Seymour. Then the third time I had a strategy that worked no problem. I was rather disappointed by Seymour though. He turned out to just be well...a bad guy. I mean, he was really cool and all, and he had understandable motives for what he was doing. I was just kinda hoping there would be some sort of revelation involving him, like that he was somehow actually Yu Yevon or something. I was just hoping he would have a deeper connection to some of the characters like Sephiroth, or Kuja, or even Edea.
Moving on...while I was running around inside Sin I discovered that my party really needed some leveling up...and I ended up spending about 8 hours running around doing so, and at about 7 am I realized I was too tired to move on so I called it quits. Woke up today at 12 to finally finish the game. I eventually made it to Jecht and promptly got my butt kicked. I almost turned the game off at that moment because I didn't want to go through the whole thing with the icicles again, but I did anyways and died again. Did it a third time though, and like with Seymour I actually had a strategy and managed to win. It was sad when Jecht died, and Tidus hugged him and stuff. I was all weepy. And then Yu Yevon was pretty easy (although I was scared at first since I hadn't been given a chance to heal from the last fight).
As for the ending, I don't think it was that spectacular, but only because everything happened the way they said it would, so there just weren't any surprises like in the ending of FF7. But when Yuna did the sending...and Auron....damn...that sucked, although I figured that might happen. When they started playing Auron's theme song I remember thinking they should just keep playing his theme song through the entire ending...maybe eventually going into an extended arranged version of it or something, maybe even with some vocals. I'll have to get the OST while I'm here at some point, especially now that I have the PS2 to listen to it on. And then the last scene with Yuna and Tidus.... when she says "I love you"...and then he tried to hold her even though he was disappearing...I mean, of course we knew he was gonna disappear...but it was just done sooooooo well, and I was making that same face as the one the other day. I don't think the part with Yuna giving that speech was necessary. They should've just ended it with Tidus jumping off the airship ^5ing Jecht. But I guess they figured it would have seemed too much like the ending of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon if they left it like that. And the "popular audience" would have been all wtf. And for those of you who refuse to believe it: TIDUS IS DEAD. HE WAS DEAD 1000 YEARS AGO. HE WAS NOT REBORN OUT OF THE WATER IN SPITE OF WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE. DEAL WITH IT.
At any rate, I really really loved FFX...I'm having trouble deciding between it and FF7 as my favorite in the series...but I can't wait to play through it again.

Okay, here's some of those pictures I've been promising for a while. If they load slowly I'm sorry you slow connection people, just deal with it. And they're all kinda dark and blurry, as I don't have access right now to a good imaging program Photoshop:

(Update [07/06/05]: Alas, these too have been lost to time and poor organization.)

Suzuki-sensei, and for some reason Katherine's hand:

From left to right--Kyou (never comes to class), Mikaru-sensei, Kou (looking like she's about to do something evil), Lei Lei, Nan Nan, and Chou:

It's like Tokimeki Memorial or To Heart or one of those sorts of games +_+

Keshon and Ethan:

I was even using the flash but it came out so dark...

Some pictures of my new apartment:

And this is right around outside it:

And this is just a really neat car that's always parked outside Zero's apartment:

japan, games, yamasa, school, life, pictures
