Well today was kinda good I guess. Although I've been a bad boy. I guess it'll be nothing but rice for me for the next week to make up for it money-wise. It all started a few days ago when I was at a book store and there was this really sweet poster advertising the limited edition version of vol. 7 of the Evangelion manga. It shows Shinji, Asuka, and Rei looking all ghetto and hanging out on some dirty old staircase in front of an apartment building or something. I just liked it a lot. I told this guy Marco about it and he told me he had that same poster. Turns out he saw it in a different book store and liked it as well, so he asked the guy working there if he could have it, and then he got it. So today I decided to go back to the bookstore where I saw it and do the same thing. But by the time I got there it was already gone. I asked and apparently they had already given it to someone else. So I went down 248 which is the main road that goes through Okazaki and tried each bookstore. Finally I found one that didn't have the poster, but did have the limited edition volume 7 that it advertised. It comes in two versions: the green one that comes with a Rei in a santa costume figurine, and the red one that comes with an Asuka in a santa costume figurine. I decided to get one since I couldn't find the poster, and it was cool anyways. Though I originally preferred Rei, over the years I've developed a liking for Asuka, so I chose the Asuka one. Then on the way home I went by another bookstore, and right there in the window was the poster I was looking for. So I went in there and told them that I really liked it and asked if I could have it. I think the old ladies I talked to just thought that the way I asked was too cute and funny to refuse, so they gave it to me as service. I felt like I couldn't just walk out with it though, so I bought the limited edition Love Hina vol. 0 in order to patronize them. Then as I continued home I remembered about this used book/cd/video store I had been told about by Kentaro, so I checked in there to see if I could find vol. 2 of One Pound Gospel. Well with all the huge stacks of manga they had, they did not have One Pound Gospel (I'll probably just try to get it online sometime -_-). But my eye did catch on a stack of manga consisting of all of Rurouni Kenshin. I asked the guy at the store (who was really nice) if I could buy volumes two through four. But then he explained to me that you could only buy it as a set, which didn't surprise me because they were all packaged together, and I suspected that might be the case. So, since I had already planned on eventually getting all of Kenshin while in Japan, I decided I might as well get it here. I got the whole set for \5000. That's good because I saved over \5000 buy getting it all used. The only problem is I had already bought volume 1. So I kept my new volume 1, and gave the old volume one to Zero for a bowl of ramen and gyoza, which we just got back from eating. But still....
