I was going to write about my interview with Masaaki Shimizu of Kanzaki Specialty Papers. But now I'm tired and I don't feel like writing much, so instead I'm going to ask you, yes you, to make up captions for these these pictures:
P.S. The fact that I'm albino is obvious, so making fun of that doesn't make for a funny caption. Actually, screw that, yes it does.
I also went to a lecture by some guys from Google today, mostly on their NLP projects. They focus mostly on statistical NLP, so instead of screwing around with linguistics and stuff they just crunch massive amounts of text until they figure out how to best translate things. I'm leaving out massive amounts of detail, but like I said, I'm tired. They said that they can always use programmers with foreign language skills, and I got a free long sleeve t-shirt and some other swag.
