"The Fisher Tale is inspired by a timeless old fairy tale. Basically a poor old man goes fishing one day and catches a magical fish (sort of like the genie in the bottle idea with a spiritual twist), who each day grants him a wish. His first wish is to have the perfect partner, next the perfect home then onto fame and absolute power. After each wish, the sea in which the fish inhabits is getting more and more violent and aggressive, indicating the imbalance and confusion of his desires. The song builds up dynamically much like the sea would with each request. In his final wish, the now beautifully partnered, rich, famous and powerful fisherman wants to be like God. His wish is granted. He returns home to find nothing and ends up back where he started poor and alone. Basically the idea is that the search for happiness is not out in the world, but inside. All those external aspirations are just quick fixes like a bandage for a soul that needs mending from within."
