A line from a poem I wrote back in high school seems inordinately relevant this week:
I'm not your surrogate self-esteem.
I think current Erika needed that reminder from the high-school me - I need to stop taking on other people's insecurities. I have enough going on, myself, without having to worry about bolstering up random people, especially those who are practically strangers.
