I liked this a lot ... proof that Jean can have a happy ending even if he's not able to walk again. I like Mustang's utter absence from the fic, too ... he's there in the letters, but it's Jean's reaction to him that presents him to Jean's mother. She doesn't care or need to know Roy personally ... he's not Roy, to her, he's Mustang, he's the man that makes her son smile, and that's more than enough ( ... )

It was interesting, writing this from the perspective of Jean and his mother, especially his mother, because I've never really written her taking a point of view with her son's relationship with Roy before, romantic or platonic. She's unsure of him at first but after that she realizes that Jean trusts him with his life and she has to accept that as being good enough.

Heh, thank you XD;; I once asked my mother that and she told me pretty much what Jean's mother said to him... and a giraffe marionette? That is so adorable.

Eeek, sorry ._.;; Well, I did prewarn you for angst, at least? Mmmm, Roy was very lonely; I'm not sure if I put that across strongly enough at first, but he was feeling lonely and very guilty about the whole situation.

Heh, it's really too bad I can't write original stories... I'm shocking with making my own characters. Thank you so much for the lovely comment, hon. *HUGS!*

The marionette still lives with my grandma ... I'll take a picture for you next time I'm down to visit.

This fic makes me want to write the boys, if for no other reason than to DE ANGST THEM, DAMNIT. But you do write lovely angst, and I'm glad for it. It's one of the things I love most about your writing.

One small nitpick ... I'm not sure you want "embalm" in the first letter. Embalming is more of a pickling process ... I think maybe cremate? Dunno.

Doesn't matter anyway. This fic is simply gorgeous. ♥

Awwww, that is so cute. ♥

XD;; Well, off you go and de-angst them! Like I'd try to stop you, hon; you know I love it when you write them. I'm writing smut and fluff tonight, so be happy?

Embalming, in most modern cultures, is the art and science of temporarily preserving human remains to forestall decomposition and make it suitable for display at a funeral. =/?

♥ Thank you again... if you're still up, come on AIM? ;_;

I loved that Mustang never forgot him kept in touch, and especially that he went to the house and wanted Jean to come live with him! I also liked how Jean's mom came to terms with the whole situation and let him be with Roy :) Good story!

I highly doubt Roy would ever forget about Havoc XD;; It's his main point of angst in the manga atm, I think, not including wars and all that lovely stuff.

Thanks for the comment!

Absolutely gorgeous, the details so touching and EVERYTHING MQ said.

This was not "mere" fanfiction. I love how Mustang was nearly absent until the end. The details of the childhood room and it not being home anymore.

Absolutely lovely.

Thank you!

Haha XD; If I didn't want to lose my 30_kisses claim, this probably could have been gen, but I liked the way Havoc's mother and Roy complemented each other in the end.

Thank you, once again ^_^
