Sometimes I scare myself!!!
I just got a call from one of my customers that I called a few days ago and was instantly able to remember exactly *why* I had called him and locate the details of the message I had left him!!!
Usually I would have the office's computer system to remind me and I would be able to look at his account. As I am working from home I have to do it all from memory and from my own notes I have done and files I have created.
Somehow I am able to just control my thoughts and what I am saying so I sound dead professional, whilst the other side of my brain searchs for the information it needs, to handle the call correctly. Trust me if I get it wrong, I could end up upsetting a client or worse angering them. This client had renewed in July and thought I was calling to get him to renew again, which I wasnt so I just told him it was a curtosy call to see how things were running. Glad I called cause he needs some help with using his product so that's good.
but yeah I just got off the phone and thought "how the fuck do I do that?" "how do I remeber shit like this and know my customers that well, that I can speak to them months apart and still remeber my exact conversations with them" I know this is probably one of the reasons I am *so* good at my job but fuck me, my brain scares the shit out of me sometimes!!
