I figured I'd get in on this, now that everyone's had their say...
Apparently, Paris Hilton has had herself a "jailhouse conversion." As can be expected, more than a few people think she's being insincere. Of course, the press is also divided, with half concentrating on her press releases, and the other half exploring the "jailhouse drama" with far more scrutiny than, say, the current goings-on in the Department of Justice.
I personally think she should be given the benefit of the doubt. Lay off her for awhile, then see what happens when she gets out of jail. Does she rent the swankiest club to have a "Paris goes free" party, or does she return home and, I don't know, decide to get a Masters degree or do charity work or something like that? There are a lot of ways one can grow up, after all.
Now, why should I feel this way? Well, people deserve second chances. I'd hate for my life to be defined by the worst thing I've done, and I'd like to think that everyone is capable of changing.
