My last oral? Is done!
It was spanish - a debate on immigration, and all things considered, it went very well. "All things" being the fact that we discovered 10 minutes before we were due to start that me and Fran had both prepared the same role. Argh! So, we went and explained and begged for a couple of hours to sort things out, then I went and flailed at google for 2 hours and got facts and figures and came up with a new back story, because I was now no longer a government official who wanted to make the immigration laws far stricter, but a gambian immigrant who thought the laws were far too unfair as they were. But, yes, all things considered, it went well. The debate was supposed to last 15 minutes, and we were all amazed when they stopped us and said it had been 20, cause we were thinking we had another 5 minutes or so to go. Once we got going, the debate just carried itself, which was good, cause other groups had said the lecturers would ask questions if things got a bit stuck, but for us, they only had to ask the one question to start it off, and we just rattled away for 20 minutes.
But now it is over and I am happy and bouncy and squee-ful, and we're going out tonight, and life is good :)
