Hello world of LJ. Sorry about the prolonged absence but I've been writing exams - the last of which I wrote this morning. And I just got my final mark for my Research Methods class - I got an A! This news makes me very happy, so much so that I spent some time dancing around and singing to my dog. I think it's a good thing I'm starting back at work ( Read more... )

They really are cute, aren't they? One of the little old ladies that came to my door could easily have fit in my pocket. Tiny German woman. It was hard to send her away.

There will be pints had in some as-of-yet undisclosed location, likely in central Ottawa. I don't believe we've met but you are certainly welcome to join in the festivities.

I think the world needs more tiny German women.

We will be drinking, I mean rejoicing, at the new Royal Oak on Bank Street at Gloucester. We'll probably be easy to spot but if you let me know to expect you then I'll make sure you know who we are.

Drat, I'm sorry to have not made it out. Out of the loads of things I needed to do yesterday I got it all done, and stuck around a little pot-luck style party until 03:00h.

Hope your celebration went well! Hm. I'm moving downtown this week (busy) but if you're over at the Dom, playing pool, or some other such I should really make an attempt to at least join for a little bit.

Funny, only being 50/50 sure if we know one another - I imagine introducing myself to the totally wrong person, hah!

I've done that (introduced myself to the wrong person). Ooops. Mind you, it's another way to make new friends...

The celebrations were lovely, not to mention tipsy!

And yes, you should join us at some point, especially since you'll be downtown. I will post the next time we head out for drinks.
