Monday calm
You'll have to forgive my weekend melodrama - I was in a pretty horrible mood and unable to post anything that didn't involve an inordinate amount of swear words, so I opted for poetry instead. It's an older poem but one that more or less summarized my mood.
Last week was not a good week. I won't go into the details but I will say that being a step-parent of children with a biological mother that is clearly personality disordered is a challenge, especially when she recruits her family members to stalk us on our vacation. I'm not joking. This came on the heels of finding out that I will have to have surgery next month. I guess this is my penance for not being sick as a child. Either way, it sucks.
Fortunately, a combination of good music and Neil Gaiman's book American Gods has helped to put me in a better mood. Now if I could just find a good hitman I would be set.
