...this reminds me quite a lot of that one time, at the Bastion. And it seems things haven't changed since then, either; I still... can't keep my balance.

I wonder if anyone else is having better luck than I seem to be.

...you, too? It's rather hard to forget, if I do say so myself.

...you are not comfortable with such memories, then?

[ Xemnas motions for Xehanort to come and sit next to him on the bed, just so they can talk better. ]

It's not that so much; it's just that I... you, in essence, know everything about me. But after I lose... lost my heart, you became the leader of the Organization... and that's where our similarities end.

( Xehanort takes the hint and sits next to Xemnas, folding his hands in his lap and just looking up at the Nobody. )

[firstsilence]

[ Xemnas chuckles at this. ]

There is little to know about me after I became the leader of Organization XIII. I attempted to regain my heart, by using Kingdom Hearts, but ultimately my plans failed and I met my end. Admittedly, I... forgot some of the memories that you now possess, but.

[ He pats Xehanort on the shoulder to try and comfort him, not entirely good at this sort of thing. ]

( Xehanort contemplates this for a moment, and then closes his eyes, unconciously resting his head against Xemnas's shoulder. )

Braig, Dilan, Xehanort. The three of us... used to be inseperable. Is it still that way, Xemnas? Or did things fall apart when we lost our hearts?

[firstsilence]

...

[ Xemnas looks a little surprised at the contact but doesn't push him away; instead, he wraps a blanket around the scientist to keep him warm. ]

They-- we did, didn't we. [ He looks thoughtful for a moment. ] Things between us... no, they didn't entirely fall apart. But they certainly aren't the same. Not quite.

[ He looks at Xehanort briefly. ]

Why? Are you worried about their Nobodies being here, too?

[hypothesise]

( Xehanort realizes what he did and goes slightly red, but stays put nonetheless, accepting the blanket with a quiet 'thank you'. )

...not quite the same? How so? Have things happened, or have w-- you just all drifted apart? If you don't mind my asking, of course.

( He looks up at Xemnas as best he can from his position, and slowly shakes his head. )

No. I'm not. It's just that... well. I'm unsure of how to act around them now, I suppose.

[firstsilence]

[ Xemnas isn't entirely sure what to make of his question, and thinks on it a little, replying that he is quite welcome. Finally, he thinks of what to say. ]

Things happened within the Organization, and even before it was properly formed. I... [ he hesitates briefly ] sent them both to their demise at the hands of Sora. But not only that; there have been... many, many other things.

How to act around them? [ Xemnas chuckles. ] Why not as you always have? Despite not having hearts anymore, they are... almost the same people. A few minor differences, but nothing that should affect you so.

[hypothesise]

As I always have? But...

( Xehanort pauses, as if considering how to word his response properly, but he's out like a light before he can say anything else on the subject. )
