Upon first waking up to the sounds of footsteps for my 'neighbors' upstairs, I find I've woken at exactly 6:19 AM. ....
My soul cries out in delight with the wonderment of having another 45 minutes of sleep! So far, so positive. I manage to drift off again despite someone shuffling unusually fast upstairs, having put a pillow over my face to block the morning sun streaming duly through the window.
My alarm clock goes off seconds later (or at least what seems to be seconds later). The hot water is running in the building and I know if I get into the shower now, it will be cold an miserable - the SNOOZE BUTTON it is. I hit the snooze button at ten minute intervals, but wake bfore the second snooze is complete and head for the shower to try and see if I'll wake up with a blast of nice hot water. It works for the first five minutes, until I want to ooze down the drain and go back to sleep! My morning routine takes all of an hour and a half, mostly because I'm taking time to get a smidgen more bounce in my step by doing extra things that make me feel oh-so-orgasmic happy.
Which also works in a quiet, unknowable way that only I can tell the difference. Its not like I flash my lacey underthings to just anyone, and I don't even get the lacey underthings out unless I'm wearing something unbelievably comfortable so nobody will EVER notice. It always puts a little sway into my backside that I appreciate. Out the door now, down the street and getting my mail to see if anything has come in for Fathers Day. Being the lazy ass I am, I ordered my gift online this year to have them send it to me from Ebay, and I'm worried about the purchase, but all I've got is bills and credit card offers. Once I get to the office when its quiet and nobody is there, I open my purse/lunch bag and proceed to heat up water for this Fat Free Hot Chocolate mix I pulled out of the pantry....
Adding plenty of sugar to ensure its sweet. What it lacks in fat, I have thoroughly made up for in sugar.
I go through the motions of Hot Chocolate as my only other co-worker enters the office and I sit, feeling my back muscles sore from the small workout I completed yesterday for the first time in forever. The first sip is scorching chocolately heaven, and I start to go to work. The clean email I had by the end of yesterday has filled with another eight emails, and my reminders list is up to another ten. An hour and a half later, My box is empty and I'm sitting pretty considering getting some delicious rye chips salted with garlic flavouring.
Good morning World.
Recently, I also finished reading the Help. The idea of a typed up prayer list sounds awesome. Writing it down seems even better!
Another thing to consider while I fend of the urge for salty snacks.
