I can't tell if it's a welcome change or worrying as hell that we weren't flocked with venereal diseases down in the Infirmary so far. Unless the lot of you are gritting your teeth and bearing it, I wouldn't be surprised if half of you were given some of your harebrained ideas.

Well it's a damned sight different than the Enterprise's shore leaves. Always some bright eyed ensign dragging back a rash- or worse with the 'counterfeit' items. I swear giving Sulu that lab was just encouraging bringing new and dangerous pollens on board, not that Star Fleet listens to a damned word of it if there isn't a complete disaster.

[Private to Uhura]

Alright lieutenant, care to explain that visit? The kid isn't using himself as a human blood bank, is he? I've had it up to here with those idiots feeding themselves to vampires like it isn't a damn fool idea.

[Private to Parker]

Make it out of that hell hole in one piece? [yes, here is the prime example of never talking about It again]

[Private]

[and a while after all that fun post up there, the PADD switches to voice. There's a pause and some tapping of a stylus against the desk before McCoy speaks.]

Chief medical officer's log, supplementary.

Maybe Spock has a point with these damned things. I was never a big fan of them before, felt a lot like the Admiralty breathing down your necks in new and creative ways. Not that they'll every see- hear- this, and not that they would believe a word of it if they did. There must be something to routine and familiarity.

[a snort] It's not like there's anyone else I can go to about this one.

[his tone turns more professional] After experiencing the effects of Vulcan mating, 'Pon Farr,' which apparently forces the Vulcan in question to mate or perish, Commander T'Pol came in for scanning. A full body scan to be precise, to see if the Commander had managed to get herself pregnant. Considering I don't know a damned thing about Vulcan pregnancy I tried to get the most data possible. Data, it just so happens, that might as well have been better off where it lay.

[a sigh] Damnit, I know it's important for her to know. Lord knows when it could come up, and she's better off armed with the knowledge than blissfully ignorant. Still, how the hell do you tell someone that half of their genetics belong to the race responsible for destroying the home world of the other half? It also means one or both of her parents went about living a lie, and T'Pol-

Hell, I'm not even completely sure of this madness yet. It's not as if we know a great deal about Romulan anatomy to begin with, even if what we have fits perfectly with the genetic markers I have from these scans. There's one way to find out for certain, and lord knows I don't like it.

[a muffled sort of shuffling and a clink] I can't tell her anything until I know for damned sure.

[Private to Nero]

[a bit coldly] I need a word with you.

[ooc; I swear I will not post again for a week, I apologize for the spamming :[ ]

romulans ruin everything, it's hard out there for a pimp, venereal diseases, days of our lives: barge, t'pol, parker, post-port, uhura, nero
