[Gender] Female
[Sexual Orientation] Asexual, but can pretend to go either way if it benefits her in some shape or form.

[Background]
Once upon a time, Rei was a normal little girl living a happy, normal life with her parents.

Or, at least, as normal as life for a child star could get.

Rei was a celebrity, the star of a hypnotism show called "Saimin Shoujo". No matter where Rei went, she was praised and revered; everyone in Japan knew her name, and her parents couldn't be more proud of her. Life was like a dream to Rei, it couldn't get any better.

So, instead, it got worse.

Like all hypes do, the "Saimin Shoujo" hype died eventually, and everyone around Rei changed as a result. She was called a liar, and even those who were once her fans began to harass her. Her home and school were vandalized with graffiti that displayed messages such as "go home, you disgusting liar", and even her schoolwork and notebooks were stolen and ruined by her so-called "friends".

No matter what she told the media, they just twisted her words around; they ignored every single thing she said and kept on asking her questions at every chance they got. Eventually, she simply had to seclude herself to avoid the harassment, along with her parents, who continued to protect her throughout the whole ordeal without ever saying a word about it. One day, however, her parents told her to get dressed and get in the car. Once that was done, they took off down the highway and proceeded to drive the car off the nearest bridge.

Needless to say, her parents were declared dead on impact.

Still, life goes on, regardless of who lives or dies. She knew that, and that's why, a few weeks later, she goes on to film the last episode of "Saimin Shoujo". She dresses up in her usual outfit, flashes her prettiest smile for the camera, and proceeds to destroy the life of all those who mocked her, utilizing the very same hypnotism they called fake. She sends out a hypnotic message to those who, just like her, have lost someone dear to them, and ends the show satisfied with her work.

Now, flash-forward to three years later, when a game called Rabbit Doubt has become popular in Japan.

A small group of five have agreed to meet up to play the game in person. Aikawa Yuu, Akechi Haruka, Hoshi Eiji, Komaba Hajime (who would arrive late because of his university), and, of course, Hazama Rei are all part of this group, along with Houyama Mitsuki, Yuu's best friend who has decided to tag along out of sheer curiosity. They all go to a karaoke bar, wherein, after a long series of events, Rei decides to reveal her identity as "Saimin Shoujo" to Yuu, after he saves her from being harassed by Eiji (who was attempting to get her to go on a date with him, supposedly). He agrees to keep it a secret from the others, completely unaware that Eiji had overheard the whole conversation.

It all works to Rei's advantage in the end, though.

Not only does the group lose some of their confidence in Eiji, but they also accept Rei for "who she is". The group continues to enjoy themselves once again, and that is when they all get kidnapped to play a real game of Rabbit Doubt.

The first victim is Rei. She's pinned against a wall with a stake through her chest, her wheelchair has been completely and utterly destroyed, and there's a bar code on her right leg. The first ones to find her corpse are Yuu and Mitsuki, who panic and close the door behind them as they run out of the room, inadvertently locking the door as they do.

Once Yuu, Mitsuki, Eiji, Haruka and Hajime (who had been ambushed and kidnapped at a different location) are reunited, they come to realize that they are playing a real life version of Rabbit Doubt, and that in order to survive, they needed to find the lying Wolf. They needed to find Rei's killer.

What they didn't expect was that Rei's supposed "killer" was herself.

Not only had she hypnotized Mitsuki with that hypnotic message three years ago to become one of her Wolves, but she had also faked her own death in order to watch how the game would play out behind the scenes. Yes, Rei was the lying Wolf, and she was the one who had caused both Eiji and Haruka to be brutally murdered by Mitsuki. She was the one who had planned all of this.

Except for one little thing she hadn't been able to predict.

Mitsuki loved Yuu, and that threw quite the wrench in her plans. Not only was her control over Mitsuki weakened whenever he was in the same room as her, but he had forced Rei to reveal herself.

But, with a smile on her face, Rei revealed everything to Yuu; from how she was taking revenge in her parents name, to how she had used the cellphone's ring-tone to control Mitsuki. After this had been done, she opened the door leading outside, called the police anonymously, and fled the scene before she was found.

However, witnesses were very detrimental to Rei's plans, and she couldn't afford to have somebody like Yuu and Hajime around. Making sure that one of her Wolves that was in the forensics team was sent to investigate the scene, Rei covered up all of her tracks and got rid of Hajime without even lifting a finger. She called Yuu, who had been stupid enough to answer a cellphone instead of throwing it out the nearest window while visiting Mitsuki in the hospital, and provoked him to say the second trigger:

"For the one I love".

Yuu hadn't even fully comprehended that said phrase, in conjunction to a cellphone's ring-tone, would cause anyone under Rei's influence to slip into their Wolf persona before being stabbed to death by his best friend.

Satisfied with her work, Rei hung up, smiled kindly at the waitress at the cafe she was currently in, and paid her check.

[Personality]
Shy, timid, kind, and polite to strangers; these are all words that could be used to describe Hazama Rei perfectly.

Unlike what you might expect from a former idol, Rei is actually a very kind, selfless girl. She puts her own happiness below those of others, and wants nothing more than for everyone else to be happy. She cares very much for those who she considers "loved ones", and would do anything for them, even if it meant giving up an arm or leg.

However, because of her past, Rei suffers from social anxiety and depression (as shown by the fact that she attempted suicide by jumping in front of a truck, only to change her mind at the last possible second and end up paralyzed instead, and her little talk about what Rabbit Doubt's mascot symbolized). She hates big crowds, as she is terrified of reliving the days where she was harassed by her former fans and the media. To avoid this, she chooses to hide herself from the rest of the world and isolates herself in her own home, rarely going out.

She trembles in public, stutters, and hides behind an over-sized stuffed rabbit when she feels her face heat up. All in all, she is not what you might expect to find in the former "Saimin Shoujo".

Too bad it's all a lie, of course.

Beneath that facade, lies the real Rei: a ruthless, selfish manipulator who lives of the thrill of watching others writhe and tremble in fear.

As a former television star, Rei is quite the actor. She can change personalities in the blink of an eye, and knows just how to toy with other people's emotions, which aids her greatly when it comes to fooling others into trusting her.

She sees the rest of the world as nothing more than filthy, worthless liars, and does not truly care for anyone she meets. She absolutely abhors all of those who lie but still get to live perfectly happy lives, and, unless you are of notable worth in her plans (like, say, being a possible Wolf), she will make sure that everyone feels the same kind of suffering her parents did.

After all, if her dear, honest mama and papa couldn't be happy, then why should anybody else be?

Of course, Rei is very intelligent, as she needs to be in order to avenge her parents time and time again. She has a quick tongue, and is able to improvise whenever something occurs that she hadn't planned for.

[Specialties/Abilities]
As mentioned above in the history section, Rei is a ridiculously powerful hypnotist (as proven with what she was able to make Mitsuki and the rest of the Wolves do) with an uncanny ability to track people who she considers "liars" down.  She uses her hypnotism to her advantage to control others into doing her own dirty work and erase the liars from existence, and never directly causes harm to another person (making herself "innocent" of ever having committed any crime).

In order to make her hypnotism actually work (and to keep her little Wolves from going on murderous rampages when it is not really convenient), Rei uses both sound triggers and very specific keywords, which, when used in conjunction and in a certain order, will make anybody under her control slip into their Wolf persona.  First off, in order to "switch on" her hypnotism, Rei utilizes a cellphone's text text message ringtone (which I imagine can be replaced with any other kind of sound, like an alarm clock or even a song); the person who is under her control will act as they would normally after this is done, and if nothing is done to set off the second trigger, it will wear off after a certain period of time.  The second trigger, however, is a very specific phrase which must be spoken in this exact order:

"For the one I love."

Once both triggers are set off, the person under Rei's hypnotism will move into killing mode, and will effectively begin to start chopping heads off left and right. After they are done, having slipped out of their Wolf persona, they will not remember a single thing after they heard the second trigger.

Still, Rei is not able to hypnotize every single person she meets. Instead, they must meet one or more of these requirements:
- Those who are manipulated and persuaded easily.
- Those who have been struck by the grief of losing someone very dear to them.
- Those who have been hurt by "love".
- Those who lack a reason to continue on living.

However, even if these requirements are met, as proven with Mitsuki, Rei's hypnotism can be canceled out temporarily if the would-be victim is someone who the Wolf loves.  But even then, this can be easily adverted by the first trigger being set of, and the victim themselves speaking the phrase which turns their attacker murderous.

All in all, Rei is a lying, cheating, manipulative yangire with the abilities to actually act out on the whole "I HATE EVERYONE EVER" thing.

[Affection] Hugging, cuddling, face/boob squishing, go for it. Her moe act is all about getting people to feel cuteness proximity for her.

[Fighting] Rei won't start a fight nor won't she fight back--she doesn't like to get her own hands dirty. Otherwise, feel free to punch a little loli in the face? She will find ways to work this against you later, in any case.

[Other Permissions]
Telepathy is fine, since she has no mental barriers for that kind of thing, after all, but you might want to ask me beforehand if you're unsure so I can tell you exactly what she would be thinking about. Non-serious fourth wall breakage is also fine, but otherwise I'd prefer if you didn't. If you have any plot you want to involve Rei in or want some sort of troll buddy system, just contact me!

[Other Facts] Since she's from the end of the manga, she will not pretend to be a cripple. Her wheelchair was wrecked many, many chapters earlier and she didn't have it upon being brought to Somarium, not to mention that she is shown to be just fine and dandy prancing around society normally at the end of the manga.
