Im trying to figure out what kind of dog I want. I was suppose to get one for my birthday in may but we didnt have the money to afford a dog. So now Im trying to look up dogs and see which one I want. Then I will look at some shelters

Get a shih tzu! They're cute, easy to train, lovable, good size, good with kids etc. I have one & I love him he's the perfect dog =) Whatever type of dog you choose to get I hope you take pics! :)

Get a shelter dog. If you just go out and buy a dog, there's no telling what you're gonna get.
