My sister died today at 5:30 PM. My brother-in-law and niece were with her. Wendy says that her mother's passing was peaceful and that she just slipped away. When it was over, Wendy described the feeling in the room as one of peace and great relief. She feels that Betty was ready to go and we are confident that the welcome home party has already started on the other side.
Thank you all for your kindness and support through this difficult journey. Say a prayer for my brother-in-law Wayne, who is bereft at her loss. My mother is doing okay.
The Betty's funeral will be on Saturday. Wendy and I intend to make it a celebration of her life.
