More on the Zone!

How can anyone not love the zone? Seriously, its the only sci-fi series that still stands up today. Its probably the first sci-fi show i ever saw. I love Rod Serling as a host, he was waaaay better than Forest Whitaker. Actually watching paint dry is better than Forest Whitaker.

They never really got it right after the show went off the air in the 60's. The movie was a joke (not to mention a real life tragedy thanks to a reckless John Landis), the 1980's version was hit or miss and the latest revival was all wrong.

The episodes of the Twilight Zone werent about shock, they never where. They were moral tales. Burgess Meredith in "Time Enough to Last" is probably one of the best episodes its about a selfish man who is obsessed with books, hes married to mean wife and he hates his job. One day he goes down to the vault in order to read, turns out an atomic bomb goes off at that very moment. So he survies, but unlike anyone else who would have gone through that, hes not sad or angry in fact hes happy. Because now he has all the time in the world. But becarefull what you wish for.

My other favorite episode is one of the Shatner ones, not the one of him freaking out on the plane (although that one rocks pretty hard). No my favorite one is one where Shatner is enaged to a girl and they go to a small town where they eat a dinner turns out there is a machine that tells the future, which tells them not to cross the town square at noon or else they will die, so they dont turns out theres an accident that they would have died if they hadnt heeded the machine they would have died. So they go back and try the machine asking it all sorts of questions but they keep getting "wait and see". Its a classic Shatner acting when hes flipping out about what to do. At the end his girl convinces him that living always involves risk but thats what makes life worth living for.

Heres the classic Shatner look...

This ass shot is dedicated to my Shatner ass freak Lene Taylor

You know im as straight as they come but even I want to jump this mans bones. It looks like hes going to make out with that damn machine, talk about safe sex....

Right after this shot Shatner screwed the lead actress all the way down to the script girl...

I love Shatner acting, i especially lost it when he hugged the machine like Daffy Duck...

If you get a chance tune into your local sci-fi network channel and watch an episode or two, i promise you wont be disapointed...
