Super Dimension Fortress Macross
On February 7, 2009, the SDF-1 was scheduled to take its maiden voyage from its resting place above Macross City. However, during the launch day celebrations a Zentradi fleet appears on the far side of the moon, having tracked the ship across space for ten years. A squad of scout ships are sent to investigate, and the SDF-1's sensors detects them and automatically opens fire, destroying the ships and intitating Space War 1.
