Singing, Birthday, and NFL Linebacker

Ok, I know all of you are saying, "Has he lost his mind?" One, I never had one, but that's another journal entry...And two, it has a point so bear with me.

First of all, I'm singing on my birthday tomorrow. It's gonna be the big 1-8 so I'm excited. And since we're having my birthday on the concert day, I get a "happy birthday" singing by a trained choir. Like the basses are gonna sing good for my sake...Gah! Knowing the other clowns in the bass section besides myself, it's gonna be a birthday to remember. XD But in the concert, we're singing most of Vivaldi's Gloria. It's a 30-minute piece with beautiful solos and everything amazing! If I get ahold of a recording of us, I'll put it up along with the All-West Tennessee Choir. Both are gonna be heavenly.

Now, before you harangue me for leaving out the "NFL Linebacker" part, I'm just getting to it. Be patient. It's a virtue worth having...and somehow I missed getting. But anyway, I went to a Men's Fellowship Luncheon at my church, and the guest speaker was former NFL linebacker John "Bull" Bramlett, the runner up to the 1962 rookie of the year award. The only reason he lost was due to the fact that it was also Joe Namath's rookie year. But his message is amazing. He's been to the bottom and has come out to become a great person. I would seriously recommend his book "Taming the Bull". Go out and get it. You will be amazed when you read it. And if you get a chance to hear him speak, go! You will never regret it. He has a powerful message, but he is too funny for words. XDDD And I got an autographed copy of his book. He takes time to talk to everybody, and he's so warm and fatherly. Seriously, he makes you feel like one of his children when he speaks to you.

Ok, so that's all. And, btw, I'm legal to buy cigarettes and porn as of tomorrow...like I need or want either. XDDDD

singing, birthday
