Life Update!
Hey everyone! *BIG squishy huggle* As you may or may not know, me has been VERY VERY busy lately. Here's a brief update of what's been going on in the life of Rei Rei:
Me just got accepted into this environmental internship program yesterday! After me was interviewed, he hired me on the spot! *squeals* Me feels so special. ^^ Me has to work around 10 hours a week, and me might get course credit too! They're also giving me a $250 stipend at the end of the semester...when you're doing stuff like this, you can't be in it for the money. *nods nods* Me ish just happy he accepted me! Wai~! *runs around*
Me was also accepted into Phi Sigma Alpha, a Political Science Honor Society. *puffs up and purrs* They only give invitations to the top 10% of the Political Science majors, and you have to maintain a 3.50 GPA to stay within the society. Yay, me?
Me ish part of the Public Relations Student Society of America! Since me ish in the Newsletter committee, me has to write articles and do page layout stuffers. Not only ish it fun, but me gets the experience, and more importantly, me gets to network with professionals. *smiles*
Me ish going to be a field representative and blockwalk/campaign during the weekends for a mayoral candidate in the upcoming November election. After the training session, me had to take a test to verify if me "really" knew the candidate or not. Me thinks me aced it, but me shall find out for sure this Saturday -- my first day of work!
Me might join a sorority, just to get a feel of what sisterhood feels like. No, me does not drink or smoke...and NO, me does NOT want to get laid! XD XD XD! The sorority me wanted to participate with ish community service oriented, with a reputation for doing lots of volunteer work. Not only that, but they are so giggly and friendly! Me shall know if they will pledge me in on Friday. Keep your fingers crossed! Ooh, and today they're having a mixer with another fraternity at this potluck party. Me ish going to go, so hopefully it shall be fun.
Sound like a handful already? That's NOT all...
Me also wants to get an extra job, either being a surveyor for the Center of Public Policy at the uni, or being a research assistant at a hospital in the Texas Medical Center. Me ish going to call both offices after me gets the schedule for my internship work.
Ooh, and my class schedule for this semester ish as follows:
Intro to Public Administration 11-12 MWF
French 8:30-10 TTH
French Lab 9-11 W
Economics Concepts and Issues 1-2:30 MW
Statistics and Data Analysis 10-11:30 TTH
Public Relations Writing 1-2:30 TTH
Seventeen action-packed, fun-filled hours in all! XD
