I broke my bone, but it won't break me.
Yeah, right.
I haven't had the time to blog about my amazing 3-day birthday celebration. Term 2 started immediately, and something unfortunate happened - I broke my 5th metatarsal bone, ended up with a cast & crutches (which will be my legs for the next 6 weeks or more). In a few hours, I will have to attend school (I haven't gone for 2 days) for some talks concerning Final Year Project (FYP). I also have to return to school on Thursday for resubmission. I do have 10-days MC, but it isn't wise & affordable to ruin my academics.
It is impossible to even travel around the house. It's tiring trying to shower, I was panting by the time I was done. I am not used to people doing things for me, being dependent... and I don't want to break that habit.
Truth is, I have no idea how I'm going to handle school in this disable state that I landed myself in to. (I meant it when I said I didn't look before I leaped.) School is already tough without this fractured foot, & with it, I am left feeling very worried and useless. I'm thinking of deferring my studies or somehow work things out with the school to make this easier for me.
Only the 2nd day with this cast, my leg is starting to itch & I'm feeling defeated already. I don't know I'm gonna be like by the 6th week. Homebound and disabled. I don't really wanna request for some company because I know, at some point, I will need to ask them for help.
This is my attempt at being optimistic: I can't wait to decorate my cast & let my friends leave their mark on it too!!!
Many thanks to
narcotic_stupor dropping by after I got my cast. Many thanks to
scarletballs &
messiahgayy for the surprise visit, painting my toes in candy colours & decorating my cast. & not forgetting every single one that planned my birthday & gave me a memorable birthday weekend, thank you so much!
