ADIML #9

Here's my 12th April 2008.
Cycling at Pulau Ubin with a few classmates!

79 pictures under the cut.

Alarm went off at 8am, and it took me 8 minutes to really wake up.
Sent Sherleen a text message.

Susu is really efficient. He greets me once I wake!
Sorry for the grains.

Koi pestered for food while I got ready.

I was wearing my new men's tee!!! It's too cute, I don't care if it's too big for me.

The sun was shining!
I don't really like him, but he makes pictures nice. So hello thar!

Just as I was about to leave the house, I see Koi loitering around the window ledge.
Not good because I live on the 5th floor. But she should be a pretty careful cat.
Just check out that tail.

I walked to take public transportation.
Dreading the LONG ride.

Poof! I met up with my friends in about an hour.

Sherleen, best mate in school.
We decided to have McDonalds for breakfast.

Caution: I'm hot!
I had Big Breakfast!

After which, we headed to the bus stop to wait for our bus.
Another long ride D: (From the highlighted words to the end.)

I caught Samuel sleeping with his mouth open. Hehehe.

And we reached Changi Point Ferry Terminal!

Hazel and her friend (I don't know how to spell her name!) on the ferry.

It was around noon by the time we reached Pulau Ubin (or Granite Island)!
(According to Wikipedia, Pulau Ubin is... one of the last rural areas to be found in Singapore.)

A sea of bicycles!

We got ours at SGD$5 each for the whole day!
And then we cycled and the camera had to stay in my bag.

Taken during one of our breaks. It started drizzling not long after we started.
And it started pouring :S

Our hair were all wet.
Got ourselves real muddy too.

I saw this web while riding and had to stop to take it.
It was GIGANTIC!

Stopped for a snack! (This was around 2.30pm.)

Oh righto. Sherleen and I changed to our Secondary School (high school) PE shirts.
It's disgusting how you can see how dirty we were just by these 2 back shots.

The rain kinda stopped by then.

We fed mosquitoes at the shelter. Nasty!

Then a stray dog had his lunch. Poor thing, you can see his ribs!

Then we continued riding!

Then we found this cool place. (Around 3.10pm)

Lots of sand.
Eew, can you spot that flying insect, ugh!

Jumping pictures!!!
There's only 1 of me and Sherleen because... 1/5 taken were of us actually in the air.
I like how we jump almost alike :P

Hahaha, everyone has their own jumping style. It's really cute.

And we found this lake! (Around 4pm)

Sherleen, fellow Nikon dSLR owner.
Hazel blew some bubbles that Sher brought.

She's really good.

BUBBLES!!!

Returned the bicycles around 4.30pm and decided to head back.

There's this old man sitting opposite me and Sher on the ferry...
who kept staring at our legs and smiling to himself.
Creepy.

We were starving!!!
Got us food. My fish beehoon was SO good.

We were all tired... long journey back.

2 hours of public transport later, I reached my neighbourhood.
My legs were getting achey and my Chucks are so filthy.

Legs/arms, tired, jelly, blur pictures.

Say hello to Moo the stray cat and reached my door step!

Susu inspected my socks while Koi sniffed around my bag.

After the shower / 8.40 pm
I scrubbed myself so hard because I could feel all the sweat, grime and rain on me.
But I was clean again!

Had dinner while watching Monster.
I love the movie.

I cried with Selby and Aileen :(

Checked my email!
Sarah, my new keyboard-pal, wrote me an email.
I think we can really relate.

Then I realised there was a dead moth on my table.
So I carefully wrapped it up and... let it fly... out my window.
You know, like hypothetically fly.

I wasn't in the mood for work. The aches were setting in.
So I uploaded the day's pictures and started editting!

Played some Sneaky Sound System.
Thought I should just edit my Maroon 5 pictures too.
Which will be up pretty soon.

Decided to crash at 1.38 am. Update Twitter.

& crashed on my sweet bed.
