Health & Fitness - I'm addicted!

So I've been on this kick to really eat healthy and live a healthy lifestyle. In the last month, I lost 10 pounds! I was really feeling unmotivated today, and told my personal trainer as much so he suggested that we take my measurements in order to boost my spirits. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I had lost inches off my waist, chest, and some poundage. More than anything though, I'm just trying to get rid of my bad habits and replace them with healthier ones. I've already seen my energy increase by over 100%, and I've started to notice how on the days that I skip a workout, I'm severely dragging and exhausted!

There are two sites that have made it so much easier to track my progress and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone that's trying to make healthy changes in his/her life: sparkpeople.com and fitday.com.

I use the latter to keep track of my activities (calories burned) and food intake (calories consumed). It's awesome! The first site is AMAZING because it constantly gives you support, exercise tips, and general information to stay on a healthy track (if you join sparkpeople.com, put me down as a referral so that I can get points - my name on there is "hyperlatina")

One thing that's been bugging me though is that it seems as though gastric bypass has become a trend at my job. I'm nowhere near the size/weight of even considering it, but what drives me nuts is that I'm working hard and seeing slow/small but steady results while so many people at my job have gone in to have this procedure and in the past month have lost up to 50 pounds. I know that g.b.surgery isn't healthy and that it's actually quite extreme, but it irks me to see the work that I'm putting in and other people getting better results.
