Updates
So! It's been awhile since I've written. Again. That's just what I do I guess.
Busy Busy Busy!
While I plan for a wedding, I'm also looking for a place for Rey and I to move to mid-September. We'll see what happens there. It's interesting learning how to negotiate new terrain. I've never moved out of my mother's house before. Then again, I've never been married before either, so that'll be new too! :p
Had a few wrenches thrown into the wedding planning machine. During early stages, had my wedding planner decline to work for us. Which, hindsight says that was a good thing really. We were getting what we were going to pay (nothing) and she was really flaky and unresponsive and I'm really glad we decided to do this ourselves. SO! That means I have my friend Leslie being the cat herder lady for the rehearsal/wedding day. Problem solved!
The other wrench was my MOH pulling out of my wedding last week without a good reason. It was like...things got difficult so she bailed. I wish I was surprised, but I'm not. I'm still pissed that she did that though. That also means my goddaughter won't be my flower girl either. On Rey's side, his 10 year old godson pulled out of being the ring bearer. So, we got my other 4 year old godson to be the flower boy, and he's wearing a Yoda backpack that has a pillow ring attached that says "Do or Do Not. There is No Try."
Other problem solved!!
Other than that, it's a lot of work. I am happy that I'm really good at time management. I get to start Sip & Bitch craft nights (not yet. Though going to get some stuff together for this Saturday at Sierra's). While I'm not good at drawing or art projects (stick figures excluded) I am pretty decent at embellishing things already created. My mom has graciously taken over planning my wedding shower. I will be planning my bachelorette (and Rey's bachelor) parties. Oh yeah! We're honeymooning on a cruise from New Orleans-Mexico and then spending Halloween in the French Quarter.
I'm really looking forward to this new chapter. I get to marry my best friend and start being a big kid now.
