Yaoi/Slash pet peeve: inexplicable purring
Dear fandom,
Yes purring is cute, but most creatures don't purr. Cats purr. Demons (fire, kitsune, etc), vampires, saiyans, mutants*cough*wolverine*cough*, other animal-based and supernatural creatures do not purr! (Especially vampires, that's up there with Twilight's sparkling).
For that matter, tiger-based catboys also shouldn't purr, because tigers do not purr. Instead they make a happy noise called a chuffle.
If you want to make your catboys and werecats purr fine. Anything else, you're just being annoyingly cliched.
