I meant to start this journal back up around the beginning of August and never got a chance to do it. Helping out some family took out pretty much the whole month. We all had to go down to Sarasota to help my Grandma move to an Assisted Living Facility. So. Much. Fricking. Stuff. 3/4 of which we had to take home. Never, ever do I want to be an uber packrat. Things need to have some sort of function even if that function is just inspiration. This is another reason to like digital artwork too. It accumulates less physical stuff. Not to say I don't love traditional to it just causes more of a storage problem. I'm wondering if a big flat file might be a good investment if I do more traditional pieces.
We also moved my aunt, who has lived with my grandmother for the last 60 years, in with us. It's been a bit of an adjustment having her here since she had diabetes and down syndrome but on the whole the experience has been kind of fun. I have a little sister now except she'll never grow up and doesn't get into my stuff.
As for art stuff, I kept drawing but it was just life drawing snatches when I got the opportunity. Nothing all that creative. I did get to Dr. Sketchy's for the first time and loved it. It felt good to be in a room full of artists again. Really good.
