Wesley couldn't help but grin as Fred talked, first about the breakfast burritoes, then about about th waffle boats and then about the starburst mints. She was the only person he knew who could talk about such seemingly disparate things and make them sound perfectly connected together and utterly interesting

Fred grinned when Wesley took her advice and ordered the breakfast burritos, without peppers. When he took her hand and asked his question, her grin grew. "Well, I think of you in a suit, dancing with me under the stars on the restaurant's patio. Then afterwards, we go back to your apartment and..." She blushed a little and leaned closer, "...make love all night in your bed."
She nuzzled his ear and pulled back before giving him a hooded look. The waitress brought back their beverages and smiled at them. "Always did like young love. How long have you two been together?" she asked, setting down the tea and orange juice.
"Not very long," Fred said before glancing at Wesley. "But I wouldn't trade it for the world."
"Hang on to that darlin'. It may sound cheesy but at the end of the day, love is what's going to get you through," she said, winking at them before walking off to refill someone's coffee pot.
"She's right," Fred said, looking at Wesley. "Love saved your life and kept you here with me."
When Fred told him what she thought of, Wesley felt a grin spreading across his face, especially at how she wanted to spend the night together. "I rather like the way your mind works, love," he told her softly as he turned his head toward her

"I love you too, Wesley," Fred quietly said after they'd broken their kiss. She smiled at him and threaded their fingers together as they waited for their food to arrive. When it did, Fred giggled at Wesley's reaction to his burrito. "I think they do. That's why it's the best! You can eat some now and save the rest for later."
She looked down at her waffle boat and cut a piece off of it before putting it in her mouth. As she chewed, Fred looked out the window and thought for a moment. "Maybe we should do something this weekend while the rest are moving. I-I don't think I want to be around here, knowing what's about to happen," she said before taking a drink of orange juice.
Fred took another bite and her eyes went wide. "Oh!" she said after swallowing the bite. "Last night, when I couldn't sleep, I was looking at the newspaper and there was an ad for these cabins up in the mountains. It's not that far from here - maybe an hour or so. I've never been camping in the mountains before. We should do that!"
"I think I'm going to have to," Wesley said as he cut into the burrito, still amazed by its size. He was pleased to see that there were no peppers in it as he had asked

Fred continued to eat her waffle boat as she waited for Wesley to say something about her plans for the weekend. When he said it was a good idea, she grinned at him. "The newspaper is on my bed at the hotel. We can grab it when we pick up my stuff. Hopefully they'll have an open cabin for the weekend," she said as she continued to grin

When Fred said she wanted to just go back and get her stuff from the hotel and then head to his place, he nodded, reaching over and giving her hand a gentle squeeze. Once Fred had packaged up the remains of their breakfasts, he put some money on the table, then stood and reached out to help her stand from the booth

When they got back to the hotel, Fred led Wesley up to her bedroom and disarmed her closet. Taking her things out, she allowed him to help her bring it down to his jeep. She then grabbed the newspaper and went to the lobby and waited for him to get the things out of the office. Fred almost went to the phone to check the messages to see if anyone had found Cordy and Connor yet but then remembered they were being taken care of by the firm

It didn't take too long to get Fred's belongings and the books he wanted out to the Jeep. It was rather depressing in a way - that their history with Angel Investigations could be compressed down to a few boxes easily stored in the boot of his vehicle. He had known he hadn't had much there, especially since he had never completely returned to the agency before now, but for Fred...this place had been her home for more than two years

When Wesley covered her hand with his, and promised to never keep things away from her, Fred smiled. "I believe you," she whispered before he captured her lips. She moaned into the kiss, and slipped her tongue into his mouth, tasting what he'd had for breakfast. When they broke apart, she smiled at him and bit her bottom lip when he made his commented about making love to her for the rest of the day
( ... )
When Fred told him to go into the bedroom and take off his clothes, he raised his eyebrows, surprised. He was abot to tell her that he'd be glad to wait, but when she pushed him toward the bedroom, he knew that he'd better listen to her

“The next right is the resort,” Fred said as Wesley slowed his Jeep down to make the turn. She smiled to herself, happy that they were finally there. It’d been a few days since Angel announced that they were going to Wolfram and Hart. Fred couldn’t bring herself to go back to the hotel so she’d spent her time with Wesley, getting to know him better - something she wished she’d done years ago
