Fred sat on the bed and nervously chewed her bottom lip. She was afraid of what her dad was saying to Wesley, but, when Wesley started to talk, saying how much he loved her, Fred smiled and squeezed his hand. They were going to be okay, and nothing bad was going to happen.
When Wesley handed the phone back to her, Fred took it and spoke to her mother for a few more minutes. Fred then said goodbye to her parents and ended the call. She then turned off her phone. "I don't want to be disturbed anymore today," she murmured before she leaned forward and softly kissed Wesley's lips. "Plus, I don't really want to share you today."
Snuggling against him, Fred ran her hand over his chest and kissed his shoulder. "We should go out tonight and do something fun! Oh! Remember the section of the Los Angeles Pier we helped clean up?" she asked as she grinned. "They renovated it and there's this cute little restaurant. It's like a 50's theme with hamburgers and malts. We should go there and have something to eat, then we can walk on the beach or check out the carnival."
