So... How was your halloween?

Nov 02, 2008 20:15

Here's a lame, sad-ass fact:
I've been so busy with work that I totally forgot about Halloween. Had randomsheets not greeted me: "Happy Halloween!" on the morning of Hallow's eve, I would've just thought it was a normal day.

Technically the 31st of October is a normal day.
What's---rather---who's abnormal is me.

After Rissa greeted me via text, and I greeted her back... I actually felt bummed.

I felt bummed simply because I realized that I currently don't have a social life whatsoever.

While most of my contemporaries and former students were partying away in lavish Halloween activities, I just simply went to the cemetery with some of my family members to pray and pay respects, then home and then slept praying that no poltergeist would visit my house and do whatever Halloween haunting it is associated with.

Right now, I want to strangle myself for un-installing my Adobe Audition 2.0 a few months back.
Just when I need to edit my sound files, I don't have a sound editor. Blasted. So now, I'm downloading the Audition 3.0 TRIAL version from the Adobe site.

That's like double blasted. TRIAL VERSION?!! Give me a break.
Oh well. That's how desperate I am for a sound editor.
Who has an Audition installer I can borrow, por favor?---Don't care if it's bootleg, as long as keygen works.

On other notes...

Look, pictures!!!!!

It's a Filipino custom to light candles outside the house during All Soul's Day (November 2). The factual and authentic explanation of the custom---I'm not really sure. I just follow the practice because I want the souls of my departed loved ones to have "light" during this day of solemnity for them.

---I particularly had fun doing this, this year, because I got to "plant" the candles in the plant pots, with matching raking of the pot soil!

So this is me and my lovable Tatay (translation: Father).

---I really call my dad, "Tatay."
I'm not using the Filipino terminology for kicks. That's how it's always been ever since I was born.

Tatay and I had our photographs taken today, by a wonderful woman I call Mom.
(For someone who doesn't know how to operate my camera, I think she did an excellent job taking our pictures!) :)

We had a mini-photoshoot of sorts. The wind was blowing insanely, thus my messy hair. But not bad for our first attempt of a completely family-made photoshoot!

Cheers! ^^
