FST ☉ Tea and Sympathy: Arion Rosemariné and Jules de Ferrier
In the next instalment of things that I have almost done for weeks, I present you with a FST dedicated to what has become quite possibly my biggest ship of all time, Arion Rosemariné/Jules de Ferrier from Kaze to Ki no Uta. They are a veritable whirlwind of angst and drama and adorable and sparkles, and I hope I was able to do them some justice here. It's meant to be a shippy FST, but if you'd prefer, I believe it'd be pretty easy to think of it as about their friendship.
As always, I don't know Japanese; this is based on all of the scanlations, text translations, raws, google translated fansites ("Congratulations Jules! Kimi is one of the most splendid transformation in the world that certainly plagued sicko!"), guesswork, and people who know slightly more than me saying what they think is happening. So there are spoilers, kind of.
If you downloaded my general series FST, you will notice some song overlap. Sorry about that, although in my defense I plan to redo that disc someday anyway.

Enter Arion Rosemariné, the poster child for single-issue psychology. One day he's, a spoiled rich kid who spends his playdates beating the other kids with a riding crop; after being raped, he becomes more quiet but equally aggressive.

Enter Jules de Ferrier, likely also a spoiled rich kid until his father died and the family lost their fortune. As the series begins, his highest priority is taking care of his family -- in his mind, that means getting them money, and he decides that the best way to do that is getting it from Rosemariné.

While Rosemariné and Jules have an outwardly very warm and friendly reationship, they never really talk about their feelings -- for each other or otherwise -- and I've always wondered how different they would be if they would open up to each other.

Wikipedia says that Rosemariné is in love with Jules but not able to sleep with him. I can neither confirm nor deny this, but either way he has huge issues involving sex, relationships, and violence.

At rooftop after-parties, or crammed into friends' cars

Jules and Gilbert have an interesting relationship: Jules quietly supports Gilbert from the background and Gilbert truly trusts him, deep down. Still, Jules is never able to do anything more than watch over Gilbert, who refuses to be helped. Still, even that puts a strain on Rosemariné and Jules' relationship.
