All right already, I'm doing this kiss meme thing. It was way too tempting.
This next bit is copied directly from Joisbishmyoga, cause there's no way I could put it any better.
1) Choose two characters in the list. Yes, only two. Three's possibly acceptable. Four's so unlikely to work that it would be a challenge! *Rock Lee Fiery Eyes Of Youth!*

It wasn't hard to follow him after the investigation was over. Thankfully not a murder this time, though one was attempted. Kudo managed to save the victim; a relief to them all. Kaito figured that murders were hard on one such as him.
Which was probably why it took the detective as long as it did to say something about his tailing. He watched him stop under a light and turn just enough to look right at where he stood in the shadows.
"Come on out. I don't have time to play games right now."
That's right, this was temporary, wasn't it? Just like the other times. Kaito couldn't figure out why it happened, but he was at least following that. Stepping into the light, he walked up toward his double, away of the risks but not caring. "Kudo." He said softly, wary of any prying ears. "Good to see you. Experience tells me this is a rare chance."
He saw Shinichi tense, and kept his body language calm and non threatening. Kudo looked him over and Kaito shivered slightly. Being caught under that gaze as Kid, when taller than said gaze, was one thing. Without that mask, facing Kudo alone, in the near dark, was something else altogether. He felt vulnerable.
"Do I even need to ask who you are?"
"Maybe, I could just lie, though," Kaito smiled softly and stepped towards his double. "I would just like to know one thing, detective. It's been bothering me." His expression was curious, like he was trying to figure out a very tough math problem but the answer was eluding him.
Shinichi took a step back, then moved his foot forward again, refusing to be intimidated.
Kaito walked right to him and backed him up anyway until the detective was against a wall. He searched his eyes, not sure why Kudo hadn't fought back yet.
"What are you doing?" Shinichi asked, not even afraid, but wary.
"I want to know-need to know..." The magician took a breath and leaned his arms against the wall on either side of the other teen, close enough to feel the heat coming off of his body. "What do you taste like, Kudo?" His voice dropped low and he closed the space between them, softly kissing his double yet expecting to be pushed away.
There was an empty moment where nothing happened, almost as if time stopped. Kaito felt a chill run up his spine and he began to pull away, not regretting his actions but fearing he caught Kudo at a really bad time. Not that there was any other time.
Before he could move far, hands were sliding up his chest and over his shoulder; digging into his hair. Without warning, Shinichi pulled him closer, kissing him back just as soft at first, before biting down on Kaito's bottom lip. The magician widened his eyes and parted his lips with a small exclamation of surprise.
“If you’re going to do it, at least do it right,” Shinichi chided before kissing him harder.
The magician really had no idea what happened for a while after that, except for having his arms under Shinichi’s jacket, one leg between his, and a sense of ‘what would people see if they walked upon us?’ after running hands through the detective’s hair.
After they finally broke apart, breathing heavily, Kaito licked his lips. “Not…what I expected.” He admitted, enjoying the delighted tingly feeling at the base of his spine. “Definitely not what I expected.”
Shinichi smirked and leaned against the wall. They both definitely looked well and thoroughly snogged: Hair messed up, clothes wrinkled, shirts pulled out of their pants. It wasn’t a look he wanted to carry into his house, that’s for sure.
Shaking his head, he nodded at Shinichi. “Thanks.”
“Glad you enjoyed it. If you try it again, I will punch you, Kid.” Not even bothering to fix his jacket, the detective pushed away from the wall and walked away, looking entirely unaffected despite what had just happened.
Kaito stared after him long after he disappeared, then laughed. Man, what a guy.
