So, as I have no clue what I'm doing in such a state of mind (haven't slept yet and it's about 10:30. AM.), this is going to be sometime before.....stuff happened. Yeah. That sounds about right. Or maybe after. Fill in the blank. It works. :D
Anyway, here goes. o___O;;;

Fai watched silently from the doorway as Syaoran said good night to Sakura, who already slept. The boy never said it when she was awake anymore, and it was painful to listen to, but if he could give him anything, Fai could at least witness Syaoran's pain. No one here should suffer alone.
Staying hidden until Syaoran left, the man slipped into the room to sit on the edge of the bed, gazing down upon Sakura's face. She looked so peaceful while she slept. No trace of the burden she bore, no hint at all that every day she must continue on, doomed to live out her life with part of her past wiped from her mind. It was certainly a terrible fate, and it hurt to know that there was nothing he could do to grant her any peace.
He sighed softly. "What am I going to do?" he asked, the words hardly more than a murmur. "You have but ask, and if it were in my power to grant, I would do it." Brushing a lock of hair away from her eyes, Fai leaned forward and kissed her gently on the forehead. "One day I will be strong enough to tell you this."
Smiling sadly, he stood and made sure she was tucked in warmly, leaving the room as silently as he arrived. One day seemed so far away to him, right now, but it was the only thing he really looked forward to anymore.
One day.
Someday.
