Friday: Beirut. Someday all white noise will be replaced with trumpets and accordions and french horns and tubas, and what a glorious day that will be. Immediately afterward, sped across town to spend hours in a sensory deprivation chamber, floating in a massive coffin on water saltier than the Red Sea. Someday I'll be able to describe what it was like.
Saturday: Immediately went from sensory deprivation chamber into work...tangerines and oranges, basically. Visit Mom, learn that I don't have to take any dogs to the vet to be put to sleep today, then proceed to sleep for 16 hours on the couch.
Sunday: Spent a lovely Sunday morning riding my bike across every bridge in town (well...almost). Notable sights: a little kid dressed like Lance Armstrong, pedaling furiously and towing a bike trailer with a cowbell on it and an adorable french bulldog inside. Also, a man lying in the middle of the freeway being given cpr and surrounded by bikes. Didn't stick around to watch him die but never heard an ambulance. It really was a gorgeous day.
Monday: First ever "acting" gig as an extra on a national tv show. Can't spill the details naturally, but then again we are talking about livejournal. Season finale: swords, cakes, explosions, Asian Businessmen. 14 hours of fucking around and stealing candy and pizza from the catering tables. Waiter with a mohawk serving potstickers to aforementioned Asian Businessmen. Hundreds of champagne glasses filled with soda water...what a travesty. Set pets. Walked new buddy to the max station and went straight home without realizing my car was still at the extras parking lot, which was 10 blocks from the set, which was 10 blocks from my house.
Really, really, really want to call in to work tomorrow and tell them I won't be coming back...ever. Remember possibility of Germany. Certainty of free tuition. Impossibility of paying rent with unemployment checks. Get a grip, man!
