Thank you. I might phone them up tomorrow.... ugh my life is so screwed at the moment i have to get birthday presents at march so if I dont get paid enough at the end of the month Im screwed//
I've been out of work for months and I'm living on benefits, right now. My basic outgoings every month - before food - are more than the benefits I get. As of next week, they're dropping my housing benefit by almost £80 per month.
At the moment everything really, really sucks for so many people... I'd take a job at Sainsbury's or something if I thought it would be worth it, but if I did that I'd lose all the benefits I do have and still wouldn't be able to make ends meet.
I hope something comes up thats worth it. Have you looked at office jobs and such. And then their are simple jobs you can take on top of part time jobs like leaflet giving and such.
BEcause there is good pay! There is also ghig stewarding you can do that are always looking for people to work. The pay is EXTREMELY good when you get to work and you get to watch bands for free
I've spent seven years working in offices, in my last role I was basically a supervisor, so yeah - that's pretty much what I've been going for. From reception to account management.
The problem is I have London-scale financial commitments and I live in Brighton, now - I need £730 in just my standard outgoings, the things that are defaulted to come out every month, before gas and electric and all other bills, like food and clothing.
I'd like to do stewarding, though. I'm a tough little cookie and spent four years beating up older teenage boys in the Air Cadets, on hills in the middle of the night, so doing something like that would be a doddle.
Do you have any idea where I would find out more about it?
Ah I see, thats my only worry about moving down to London is the financial stuff but im sure somewhere you will get it sorted out
And my best friend did it for extra cash and she basically told me half of the time you get paid to sit around and wait for people to arrive. I'll get the number off her for what she used asap
however, there is this one I saw on the back of my FOB tickets..
Thanks, hon. I also just found one based in Brighton - and the Brighton Centre is five minutes from my house, so that's got a lot of big events on all the time, so I'll check it out.
Phone your bank and bitch them out about the overdraft charges. I did recently can got them to cancel £56 of charges. Don't just let them rip you off.
