Tour in Three days

Jun 20, 2006 10:40

10:40 am. Yes I have been awake since 8am. I feel like all you grown up people updating at work. Anyway. Last night I never updated about Surf's first shows this summer. Two weekends ago we had a show in Bayonne, NJ. It was a Senior Corps show. It was a big night for the Bridgemen as they did drill and played some of their most known pieces. I dropped a five which kinda sucks, but oh well. A lot of us weren't so solid and a few people were sitting out due to injuries. So we got our first show jitters out in a not so high level stress show. This weekend we had a show in Wildwood. Another Senior show. This time my run was decent. I didn't catch as solid as I would have liked to, but at least this show I caught. Hearing from the grapevine apparently we had a good run. I am really excited for this year. The show is coming along nicely. We have one song left and that is the Can-Can. I think we will be doing that this weekend. Hopefully getting it done so come monday in Stroudsburg we will be cleaning it. This Sunday is our preview day and we should be wearing our true uniforms onto the feild. By the way they are hot! We look classy, but still portray a bedroom kinda feel of the Moulin Rouge. I am thrilled that most of the show is starting to stage around me and my friends. We all have some sort of special moment. Then the ballad is sweet because we start it out. This Friday is the start of tour and I can't wait. I think the season will be over before I even know it started. There is a lot to do this week and definately not enough time. Oh well, got to run.
