Goodbye another wasted year of opportunity
I kind of like that, and I just made it up...
Anyway! Happy New Year, my babes!! This year I resolve to figure out what the hell I'm doing for my life. That's kind of important this year.
Last night my aunt, uncle, cousin Jessica, her boyfriend William, and my cousin Jonathan came over and we played games. It was uber fun. We played a game my mom got called Fact or Crap. I came in third place. William ran away with the game. It was insane. Then William and I convinced everyone we should play Bullshit (possibly one of the most fun card games ever invented) which was a lot of fun, especially since my dad could not figure out how to play. Then we toasted the new year and they hung out for two more hours. Lol.
I'm not sure what to make of 2006. It was pretty good. I made new friends (Emily!!!!!!!!!!, some of the guys at CBHS), added more things to my resume (Into the Woods, Huck Finn, Titus Andronicus, Yanks and Chaps), was tempted with mass-murdering a lot of pubescent guys and amazingly resisted (Yanks and Chaps), I started voice lessons with Angela, which is amazing. It's one of my few sanctuaries where I can get anyway from everyone and concentrate on one of the things I love the most and one of things that makes me happiest. Something which was also nearly torn away from me in one of the worst things anyone can have possibly said to me. Thanks, Dad. I got back into writing. But the biggest one is I WASN'T FUCKING SICK THIS YEAR!!!!!!!! So I was on 11 pills a day (at one point it got all the way to 13 in the beginning). Well, still am. BUT I WAS NOT SICK! AND! I saw RENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was probably the best. I mean, two YEARS of obsession and I finally saw it onstage. Ahh, it was amazing.
So that was basically my year. I'm sure you all wanted to read that. Anyway, I'm out. Let's hope this year brings more opportunities, more open doors, few shut ones, more friends, stronger relationships, and love in the world.
