"The King is dead! Long live the King."

So, my life these past couple of days = interesting.

First and the most important: My sister's wedding. It went extremely well. If just for the fact that they got married. Yay! :D. But the reception and actual ceremony went very well. So, excitement abounds. My sister is now Jeannie Louise Hopper. Weird...that's going to take a lot of getting used to.

After the wedding: Callbacks and schoolwork galore! I finally got called back by Brother Michael (well, e-mailed back) and so I went to callbacks with Garyn and Colleen. Those were fine. Brother reaffirmed how odd he is by giving all three of us a script and wants us to go over the lines over the break, even though he's only casting one of us. Odd? I agree. I understand his reasoning behind it, but...just hurry up and pick one of us, you ****er! Sheesh. And it doesn't help my spirits with the fact that they are a lot prettier than I am. Oh well.

So, I'm working on housework and fun stuff like that for Thanksgiving tomorrow. God, I cannot wait to get out of here and move to NY. I just want to be working and on my own. Yes, so I'm only sixteen and thus way ahead of myself, but I'm so sick of high school and I just want to hurry up and get to college. I mean, do these years even really matter that much? Sure, we get experience and learn lessons but is it really going to hold a candle to what we'll learn in college and the real world? In the words of Ms. Bansal, Tink about it! Here, we're still watched over by parents and other guardians, so our view of the world is still skewed and contorted, thus making the things we learn slightly invalid because the opinions and thoughts we form now are only going to be tampered with when we get out on our own in college. The whole system seems incredibly flawed from my point of view.

Oh well. Back to cleaning. Happy Thanksgiving! Remember what we're celebrating: the fact that the pilgrims got undeserved and free help from the indians only to shove it in their faces a couple years later. God Bless. :D
