Stole from Clez.
Ooh! Theatre meme! *dances*
LAST SHOW YOU ADDED TO YOUR RESUME: That would be Titus Andronicus.
LAST SHOW YOU AUDITIONED FOR: The Christmas Comedy Festival at CBHS.
DID YOU GET INTO IT: I think so, but I haven't gotten a confirmation from Brother, yet. So I don't know.
LAST SONG YOU USED AT AN AUDITION: "Your Song" by Elton John. The last musical theatre piece I used was "Here I Am" from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, when I auditioned for Little Shop of Horrors.
FAVOURITE THEATRE (VENUE): Theatre Memphis and the Orpheum. I wish I could list a NY theatre, but I've never actually be in one. All in good time, my pretty, all in good time.
FAVOURITE MUSICAL: RENT. Wicked. Parade. tick, tick...BOOM!, AIDA
FAVOURITE ROLE AND FROM WHAT SHOW?: That I've played? Blanche in Brighton Beach Memoirs. That was such a good character and that show was so fun. We also got in trouble with a lot of people for it because of the masturbation scene, which I thought was hilarious!
SUPERSTITION: Saying "Macbeth" in a theatre...gives me chills.
LAST PART YOU PLAYED IN A SHOW: I was the Nurse in Titus Andronicus
YOUR GOAL IN SHOW BUSINESS: To be on Broadway and make it my career. I'd love to open a show on the London West End, too...
FAVOURITE DIRECTOR: Chris in AIDA and Into the Woods, followed by Lisa Sikes for Cinderella, then Brother Michael for Brighton Beach, Huck Finn, and Titus Andronicus.
WHAT WAS YOUR VERY FIRST SHOW?: I played Gwen in Christmas 2001 at Holy Rosary when I was 8. I remember my first line..."Celebration of Colored Lights?"...hehehe, good times...
HAVE YOU EVER HAD A DANCE SOLO?: No
HAVE YOU EVER HAD A SINGING SOLO?: Many an occasion. I've never had a song COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY free to myself in an actual stage production, but I've had songs where I sing most of it and others join in, and then I've had songs where I sing some of it, then others come in.
HAVE YOU EVER BEEN THE LAST PERSON TO TAKE A BOW?: No, but I've been pretty close.
NAME A SHOW YOU'VE DONE MORE THAN TWO TIMES: HAHA! All of them. I don't think I've ever been in a show that I haven't performed more than one night.
HAVE YOU BEEN TO NEW YORK?: No...*cries* Must I repeat my Wizard of Oz line?
HAVE YOU BEEN TO LA?: No
WHAT'S THE SCARIEST PART OF AN AUDITION?: I'm going with Clez on this one, which is starting. After that, I'm fine.
WHAT'S THE BEST PART OF AN AUDITION?: Again, with Clez. Not screwing up. :D
NAME A SHOW YOU WOULD NEVER DO AGAIN: Dear Edwina. Too many awful memories.
NAME A SHOW YOU COULD DO FOR YEARS: Hmm...Brighton Beach was SO fun. I really enjoyed Cinderella, too...
NAME A SHOW YOU WOULD LOVE TO DO BUT HAVE NEVER BEEN IN: RENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NAME A PERSON YOU'D LIKE TO WORK WITH AGAIN: Chris and Angela, a bunch of people.
WHAT ARE YOU AUDITIONING FOR NEXT?: not sure. Whatever they do next at CBHS (I've sort of been sucked in doing their shows...). Whatever I have time to do next
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PERFORMING?: Since I was 8, which would be 8 years
DO YOU CARRY YOUR HEADSHOTS AROUND WITH YOU?: I unfortunately do not have any head shots, which I need to get a move on with
DO YOU KEEP IN TOUCH WITH PAST CAST MEMBERS?: yes
ON A SCALE OF 1-10, HOW IMPORTANT IS GETTING PAID?: not that important, but since I'm going to make this my career, it would be pretty nice...lol. That IS what I'll be living off of.
WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE PERFORMANCE?: Titus Andronicus just happened, so that one's still in the recent memory bank, but I think one of the most memorable would be Jack's Mother in Into the Woods because of some of the notes I've had to hit. Honestly? The most memorable straight up performance I've done is probably freshman year when I sang Fever and when I sang "What is this Feeling?" with Karen. I put on green face paint for WITF and had to be all sexy and seductive with Fever. Hehehe.
WHAT'S SOMETHING EMBARRASSING OR UNEXPECTED THAT HAPPENED TO YOU WHILE ON STAGE?: Slipping onstage in the "beer" during Bye Bye Birdie. That was good...
WHO IS THE MOST DIFFICULT PERSON (ON STAGE OR OFF) THAT YOU HAVE EVER WORKED WITH?: Michael Holliday in Bye Bye Birdie. Hands down.
EVER BEEN NAKED ON STAGE?: No, but I know people who have.
IF YOU COULD BE A RICH FAMOUS PORN STAR OR A STRUGGLING THEATRE ACTOR WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?: Struggling Theatre Actor. I've already resigned myself to that fate, anyway. Besides, porn isn't acting. It's bullshit.
BEST PROFESSIONAL SHOW(S) YOU'VE SEEN: RENT.
BEST COLLEGE SHOW(S) YOU'VE SEEN: Metamorphesis at U of M
BEST HIGH SCHOOL SHOW(S) YOU'VE SEEN: I actually haven't really seen any...I've been in most of them! I really liked A Separate Peace at CBHS.
ONSTAGE, HAVE YOU EVER...
...BEEN KILLED?: yeppas. Second and Third time this year!
...BEEN DRUNK/STONED?: no
...PLAYED SOMEONE HALF YOUR AGE?: I've auditioned as someone half my age before
...PLAYED SOMEONE TWICE YOUR AGE?: yes
...CRIED?: hmm...I can't remember. I don't think so
...FIRED A GUN?: No (memories of TA...LOL)
...DRIVEN A CAR?: ...how do you drive a car onstage?
...BEEN DRENCHED?: No
...BEEN IN A DREAM SEQUENCE?: not exactly
...BEEN KISSED?: Nope.
IF YOU WERE ON BROADWAY RIGHT NOW, WHAT SHOW WOULD YOU WANT TO BE IN AND WHAT ROLE WOULD YOU PLAY?: RENT. Maureen Johnson. And they're bring AIDA back for me to play Amneris...just so you know. Lol.
