Today is Thanksgiving!...or it was. It's already 2:05 AM, the day after here in London. I usually love Thanksgiving because my whole family comes over to my house and we just spend time together. It's packed (four families!), but it's fun. This year, however, I'm spending Thanksgiving in London, so I was kind of missing them. Simple solution

It's easy to feel let down, because the reality didn't match up with the image you'd built up; but try not to let it bother you too much. Don't give it more signifigance than it should have-they did keep up with you, on Facebook and Twitter, right? So they know you're ok. I think a large part of what you're feeling is holiday blues, and homesickness.

Sorry for the late reply, but you were right. I think a large part was definitely homesickness. It was my family, cousins, and family friends all gathered together, and I wasn't.
I got over it though, and I'm back to the "I don't want to leave London" stage again.
