R.I.P. Ingmar Bergman
Ingmar Bergman, my favorite director, died today. They don't make them like this and alas in my humble opinion the world is a little less bright without him. Cries and Whispers, Persona, Fanny & Alexander, Scenes from A Marriage, among many many others are highlights of a long and rich filmic legacy that I oooh so adore. I admire him both for his art and his genius and take solace in the fact that his films will forever live on.
