(no subject)
Today was good because classes were only 30 minutes long, and I had 4 periods off, and a reading period in english. Woo!
I am disgusted with some of the people at Nyack High School. During the Tsunami assembly where Nicole Varman was speaking about her experience there, and showing before and after pictures of the town she was living in over powerpoint, people were coughing loudly and whistling and just being completely obnoxious, rude, and immature. I got really angry because of it, and the fact that no one did or said anything about it. People have NO respect whatsoever anymore and it really bothers me. I felt embarassed to be a part of that audience. The Black History assembly was amazing, though. The poets they brought to the school last year did so well by everyone that they brought them back again. Two women and a man who were full of energy and rythm(I can't even spell it), and insight and I really loved it. Obviously if anyone had been rude during that, they would have gotten punched in the face.
Go figure.
