Yay! And yes, the entire produciton underwent a transformation. Perfection was not achieved, but so many actors grew and I believe it is a play worth watching. It's a litle bit odd though, because the director's main goal was to make it looklike film, including dramaic angles and lightings meant to simulate closeups. I hope her director's note in the program says something about, otherwise watching hte production will be like watching waiting for guffman with the misconception that it is not a comedy. Not that the play has any of those themes, just that the inherent wrongness would be comparable. Overall, it's purposefully a bit melodramatic- but I think that those audience members who embrace that and get into it will enjoy themselves.
